Erik Motsinger graduated from Deer Creek High School in 1998. He went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in political science from Oklahoma Statue University and a law degree from the University of Oklahoma in 2006. During law school, Erik served as both a clerk at the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals and as an Intern for the Oklahoma County District Attorney.
Upon graduation from law school, Erik served as an Assistant District Attorney for nearly a decade. Throughout his time as a prosecutor, Erik handled all manner of cases from misdemeanors, simple drug cases, embezzlements, and traffic violations to major drug trafficking, robberies, sex crimes, and murders. Erik Motsinger served as the coordinator of several multijurisdictional drug taskforces and was even awarded Drug Prosecutor of the year.
Currently, Erik maintains a solo criminal defense practice in addition to his charity work. Erik serves as a Director for NewView Oklahoma, an organization assisting the blind and newly blind obtain independence and employment.
